Dr. Judith Absalon is an Adult Infectious Diseases physician and experienced clinical researcher with more than 20 years of experience. She has spent the last 15 years contributing to the development of antiviral drugs and vaccines.

Dr. Absalon joined Glaxo Smith Kline in October 2021 where she serves as Vice President and Clinical Sciences Disease Area Lead of Infectious Diseases & Virology. Prior to joining GSK, Dr. Absalon was a Senior Medical Director in Vaccines Research & Development at Pfizer, Inc. where she led several vaccine clinical development programs.

In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Absalon was a core team member on the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine clinical development program where she contributed to the licensure of Comirnaty® both for Emergency Use Authorization and full licensure.
