The National Center for Assisted Living established National Assisted Living Week in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The annual observance inspires assisted living communities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate the public about this distinct aspect of long-term care.
The American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) is the largest association in the US representing long-term and post-acute care providers, with a membership of more than 14,000 facilities.
AHCA/NCAL strives to offer engaging educational opportunities for long term care professionals at every level to learn the latest skills, develop their careers, and advance their larger organization.
