Biotechnology Institute

Cure has partnered with the Biotechnology Institute to support its mission to engage, excite and educate students about biotechnology's immense potential in healthcare, the economy, and environmental balance. On October 28 to 30, 2024, during the BioFuture Conference, Cure will host the Institute's "flagship" program, the BioGENEius Challenge. The BioGENEius Challenge provides high school age students with expanded opportunities to compete and be recognized for outstanding research in biotechnology. By promoting excellence in research from the best and brightest minds in the next generation of innovators, the program promotes workforce development and training to sustain the industry's growth and impact. Cure looks forward to showcasing the program's top finalists, drawn from state and regional science competitions across the United States.

Biotechnology Institute's Mission

The Biotechnology Institute was created in 1998 as a 501(c)(3) organization by a group of leading biotechnology companies and centers and the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). We are an independent, leading science-based national education organization. The Institute directs a premier national science competition, the BioGENEius Challenge, annual Leadership Awards, educational programs like BioDiversity, and career mentoring opportunities. Beyond fostering innovative research in our next-gen scientists' biotechnology, we strive to reach a broad spectrum of audiences to bridge the intellectual gap in life sciences between the general public and the biotechnology community.
